NBC Bucklin Point ProjectThe Bucklin Point Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvement Project is a $58.5 M comprehensive update and expansion of a 54 year old wastewater treatment facility. The expansion of the facility includes a new influent pump station, a fully automated screenings and grit handling facility, three 102’ diameter primary clarifiers, a new primary sludge pumping station, and a new effluent pumping station. Improvements include the retrofit of a fine-bubble aeration system, a new primary digestion heat exchanger facility, installation of a state of the art ultraviolet disinfection system, and integration of a comprehensive instrumentation and control system.
The project has a scheduled completion date of March 2006. The plant capacity will be increased from the current 60 MGD to 114 MGD. The project is currently proceeding on schedule. |
