Brown University - Life Sciences BuildingA project labor agreement was implemented for construction of the new Brown University Life Sciences Building in Providence. According to the agreement, the PLA was entered into because “it is essential that the construction work be done in an efficient and economical manner” in order to assure “timely and successful completion of the Project.”
The facility will be located adjacent to the Grimshaw-Dudiwicz Building and at Brown, Thayer, Olive and Meeting streets. The structure itself will be six stories high with five being above grade. In total, the facility will be approximately 168,000 sq. ft. and will consist of wet biology laboratories, dry analytical laboratories and computer laboratories. |
