The Bank of America Call Center

This past February the Rhode Island Building Trades entered into a project labor agreement with construction manager Gilbane Building Company for construction of the Bank of America Call Center located at 3400 Pawtucket Avenue in East Providence, RI. The project, which is expected to cost approximately $15,000,000, entails renovation of the interior and modifications to the exterior of the existing building located on the premises; and select site improvements to the property. This agreement was entered into due to the fact that the owner of the property “determined that the facility must be completed within specified and limited time frames” in order to make sure that the Call Center was opened on-time for Bank of America. When this facility is completed it will create between 700-900 new local jobs work. Their function will be to work with the company’s contact centers in more than 30 locations across the country to provide telephone services and assist Bank of America consumer customers.
