Pawtucket Water Treatment PlantOn December 1, 2004, the Rhode Island Building Trades entered into a project labor agreement with O.A. Ahlborg & Sons, Inc. for construction of the 25 MGD Water Treatment Facility owned by the City of Pawtucket. The project included construction work related to the installation of a new 25 MGD water treatment facility, and a 5MG water storage tank at 85 Branch Street, Pawtucket; a raw water intake structure and pumping station at 120 Mill Street, Cumberland and various associated interconnecting piping and appurtenances. Also included are modifications to existing wells and installation of a watershed monitoriing system.
Timely completion of this project was essential to the development and continued supply of high quality drinking water in Pawtucket and the surrounding communities of Cumberland and Central Falls. |
